There is no doubt that we've all been living through some of the toughest times we've ever experienced, not only here in the U.S., but throughout the world. COVID-19 has shut down schools and non-essential businesses, many state and local governments have imposed stay-at-home orders, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has released guidelines for social distancing and safety measures to help protect us against COVID-19.

CDC Guidelines and Extra Safety Precautions
Many states are now considering a gradual reopening to get life back to some semblance of normality. People want to get back to work and want to be able to get back to the things they do every day. While this is certainly a possibility, we're not out of the woods yet and many experts are advise exercising caution as we work toward getting life back to normal. At Sir Grout, we've been careful all along, putting the health and welfare of our employees and customers above all else. We will continue to do this as our country takes its first cautious step toward life after COVID-19.

CDC Guidelines and Extra Safety Precautions

At Sir Grout of Greater Fairfield County, we have been following and will continue to follow CDC guidelines for safety as well as social distancing guidelines. Some of the CDC guidelines include:
  • Disinfect and Sanitize – Doors, tables, handrails, desks, cell phones, key fobs, TV remotes, and any other items people touch regularly should be sanitized and disinfected. Keeping all of these areas sanitized regularly can help limit the spread of germs, bacteria, and viruses.
  • Limit Contact with Others – Stay at home when possible. This isn't always possible, but it helps to limit gathering in large groups. The CDC also recommends staying home when you feel sick.
  • Practice Social Distancing – This is still one of the most important things we can do to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Even with some states opening up again, the CDC still recommends we follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Wearing Masks for the Protection of Others – Masks are there for the protection of others. Wearing masks can help stop someone who has the virus from spreading it to others.
Sir Grout has been paying close attention to all of the CDC guidelines since the beginning of this crisis and we continue to do so. We've even put additional measures in place to ensure our customers can be confident that we're putting their safety first. Our teams are staying healthy and keeping you healthy "social distancing," no handshaking, and by washing their hands multiple times throughout a job. Sir Grout is also offering virtual consultations and offering virtual quotes as an additional measure to limit contact. Our customers can use various platforms and devices to speak with our representatives to discuss a job or to get a quote.

Sir Grout Is Offering Virtual Estimates
At Sir Grout of Greater Fairfield County, (Tom Lindberg) has provided his purchased N95 masks for his employees as a further step toward protecting them as well as their customers. "We purchased the masks from a company called On the Mend," states (Tom Lindberg). "They are a great company that has been doing all they can to supply much-needed PPE equipment during this pandemic. We wanted to do business with them as a way of supporting the work they do. Our employees and customers appreciate the extra steps we've taken as well, so it's a win/win situation for everyone involved. Most importantly, we can reassure our customers when they see the extra measures we've taken to help ensure their safety."

We're also being extremely flexible with rescheduling to help ensure our employees don't enter homes where we are potentially exposed, which greatly reduces the chance of our employees transferring the virus. We're asking our customers to reschedule if they have been exposed by anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms, negatively impacted by any signs of illness, or have traveled on an airplane during the last 20 days within United States, Europe, or Asia. We're also recommending anyone who is immunocompromised consider rescheduling to be safe. Guidelines regarding the virus are changing as we learn more about it. At Sir Grout, we are keeping abreast of those changes and making sure that we go above and beyond the strictest guidelines to be extra safe.

This treatment is effective for many other types of germs and bacteria as well, including E.coli, MRSA, and norovirus. We'll treat all of the touchpoints in your business, including toilet seats/handles, bathroom stalls, sinks, light switches, faucets, doorknobs, handrails, counters, furniture, keyboards, tabletops, and cell phones.
